Witt Consulting have undertaken work for the Department of Defence. Providing geotechnical and structural services at Holsworthy Barracks, Garden Island and the Australian War Memorial.

Moorebank Units Relocation

This project included the consolidation and upgrade of Holsworthy Barracks, including the relocation of the School of Military Engineering.

Witt’s involvement in the project encompassed a range of geotechnical and structural services. Our work included the inspection and certification of both shored and un-shored excavations, as well as providing comprehensive design, assessments, and technical advice. This included stormwater and retaining wall designs, bearing capacity assessments for aircraft pads, evaluations of foundation materials, and recommendations on compaction requirements and density index testing.

Garden Island Infrastructure Recovery Program

Garden Island currently operates as a vital base for the Royal Australian Navy. The Department of Defence is delivering critical infrastructure and engineering works under the Garden Island (East) Critical Infrastructure Recovery Program.
Upgrades to the infrastructure include the existing Electrical, Fuel, Sewer, Potable Water, and Compressed Air services across the Naval Base and remediation works to the west dock wharf, east dock wharf and fleet base east. Lendlease have been engaged as the principal contractor to deliver the first and second stage of infrastructure works at Garden Island.
