Our role on the Biological Sciences building was to conduct a structural investigation. We undertook investigations to determine the following; general arrangement and size, configuration and visual condition of steel beams and columns, lab testing on concrete cores to determine unconfined compressive strength of concrete, chloride ion content and carbonation depth.
